The 21-year-old’s agent Wessel Weezenberg has mooted all speculation linking his client with a move to both to join one of the Serie A and English Premier League clubs, while insisting that his client has no reason to leave the club at the stage
of his career.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 Rotterdam star midfielder, Jordy Clasie, has long been linked with a move away from De Kuip Stadion in the upcoming winter transfer market to join one of the top European clubs.
However, the 21-year-old’s agent, Wessel Weezenberg, has mooted all speculations that were linking his client to a number of elite European clubs, and has insisted that the young midfielder has no reason to leave the Rotterdam giants at this stage of his
career.
“I still think it is rumours. Jordy is 21-years-old, he plays at a club with great fans and plays every week in an impressive stadium. He is now developing rapidly. He plays every week and is now in the Dutch national team. There is really no reason to leave,”
Weezenberg was quoted as saying to Calciomercato.
The technically gifted midfielder, who made his professional career debut on loan at SBV Excelsior in the 2010/11 season, has thus far represented the Rotterdammers in 41 Eredivisie matches.
The highly-talented youngster’s consistent showings at the centre of the park throughout last term have garnered him interest from a host of top European clubs including the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan.
With the 21-year-old’s agent insisting that his client will not be leaving the fallen Eredivisie giants in January transfer window, it seems unlikely that the Spurs or the Rossoneri will be able to acquire his services.
In addition, the Rotterdam giants will never consider selling their prized asset, who has an ongoing contract at De Kuip Stadion until the summer of 2015, in the upcoming transfer window.
“The club will not want to let him go. He is one of the most popular players of Feyenoord, a departure this winter? I think not”, Weezenberg concluded.
Clasie, who has represented http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Junior-c20060 level, has also made two appearances for the Oranje.
