The promising youngster has been in phenomenal form with the Rotterdammers but aims to return and play at his parent club.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 Rotterdam forward, John Guidetti, has expressed his desire of returning to his parent club, Manchester City, and feature consistently in the first team.
The Swedish ace joined the Citizens from Brommapojkarna in the summer of 2010, and has since enjoyed loan spells at his former clubs, Burnley and Feyenoord.
However, the ongoing 2011/12 campaign has seen the youngster rise to prominence with the fallen Eredivisie giants. The 19-year-old has netted an impressive 14 goals in 13 Eredivisie appearances since joining the Rotterdammers in the summer of 2011.
His performance against fiercest rivals, Ajax Amsterdam, in particular, was one for the books, as the teenager scored a hat-trick in his side’s 4-2 win in the first Klassieker of 2012.
The Swedish ace has now revealed his intention to return to the Eastlands.
“If I return to City, then of course I hope I get a chance. I don't think Manchester City would bring me back if they don't think I have a shot at first team football. I just want to play football. I don't want to sit on the bench or end up in the stands.
I want to play in the first XI at City”, Guidetti was quoted as saying to Goal.com.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015 U-21 International has impressed at De Kuip Stadion, playing in the position of a lone striker. He is of the opinion that his abilities are suited to that role but added that he can also operate on the flanks.
“I am more of a central striker and that's where I want to play. However, I'd obviously rather play from the left than sit on the bench. But I think [manager] http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 knows I'm a forward, and that's where I'm at my best”, Guidetti concluded.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 and Edin Dzeko already at Roberto Mancini's disposal, the youngster is unlikely to feature at Etihad Stadium any time soon.
