The Rotterdammers technical director stresses that selling http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-c11058 Biseswat to Turkish outfit ayserispor was the best solution.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Biseswar-c11089 to ayserispor was the best solution for all parties involved. The Turkish outfit signed the left winger for an undisclosed transfer fee.
The 23-year-old started his professional career at De Kuip Stadion in the 2005/06 season. He was loaned to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Heracles-Almelo-c39520 in the summer of 2006 and then to De Graafschap the following season to gain first-team experience.
At his return to De Kuip Stadion in the 2008/09 season, the club management placed the young winger on the transfer as a result of his disappointing loan spells. However, the 23-year-old’s good performances in the pre-season and in the early league fixtures
tempted the then Rotterdammers boss, Gertjan Verbeek, to give him another chance.
Biseswar impressed many with his supreme performances in the 2008/09 campaign, tempting the club management to extend his ongoing contract until the summer of 2012.
However, the left winger’s far from pleasing performances this season, coupled with his expiring contract, tempted the club management to sell their prized asset rather than losing him for nothing at the end of the campaign.
Van Geel revealed that the decision to sell the winger was the best solution for both parties.
“It was the best solution. Diego could have signed a new contract, but he didn’t. We could certainly not offer more than what we did. He did not agree, so we had to take the decision. We are looking for a talented player, who is not too old and replace him
comfortably”, Van Geel was quoted as saying to the media.
The Rotterdammers technical director then went on to admit that the 23-year-old ran out of luck at the start of this season.
“He got injured when Ronald came here as a coach. He was building a unit that could compete highly and all the players responded well. Unfortunately, Diego then had to wait for his turn after his return from the injury”, Van Geel concluded.
Biseswar has reportedly signed a contract with the Turkish outfit that will keep him at Kadir Has Stadium until the summer of 2016 and would be joining his new team on January 1.
