The 48-year-old tactician has revealed that he is content in Rotterdam and asserted that he would have turned down the Catalans giants to remain with the Eredivisie outfit.

fallen Eredivisie giants.
The former Ajax Amsterdam boss took over the managerial hot seat at De Kuip Stadion after the departure of Mario Been in July 2011. The veteran tactician has done well since then, guiding his side to fifth spot in the Eredivisie table, trailing the table-toppers
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar by seven points, in the first half of the 2011/12 campaign.
The 48-year-old tactician recently signed an extension to his ongoing contract that will keep him at De Kuip Stadion until the end of the 2012/13 campaign.
Koeman revealed that he is happy coaching the Rotterdammers and asserted that he does not intend to leave his current side before the end of his contract.
“I could not be clearer than this: even if Barcelona offered me a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, I would stay at De Kuip”, Koeman said while talking to the media.
Contrary to reports, the new contract does not include a release clause that would see the 48-year-old could replace the Oranje boss, Bert van Marwijk, in the future should he decides to leave his post. The vastly experienced tactician has dismissed all
the rumours and revealed that a release clause is not really needed in a one-year deal.
“You don't insert a clause like that in a one-year deal. That wouldn't be right. I signed for only one year because it fits in with modern football. You see it more often these days”, Koeman concluded.
Feyenoord will return to Eredivisie action after the winter break when they lock horns against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VVV-Venlo-c40915 at De Koel Stadion on Sunday, January 22. Koeman would be looking to start the second-half of the 2011/12 campaign on a high by securing maximum points.
