The Rotterdammers are currently sitting fifth in the league standings, five points behind the table-toppers, AZ Alkmaar. With seven matches left to play in the 2011/12 campaign, the Rotterdammers can certainly eye the Dutch title. 
However, the former Barcelona player has made it clear that his side is only aiming to finish in the top three and does not want to carry extra pressure on its shoulders by aiming to lift the Eredivisie title.
“We are currently sitting fifth and can compete in Europe after winning the Europa League play-offs. However, why we cannot finish the season in the top three? Yes, we are aiming for the third spot”, Koeman was quoted as saying to the Dutch media.
The Rotterdammers boss went on to admit that his side is not under any kind of pressure and they just want to play game to game.
“Ajax, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 and AZ Alkmaar would be under immense pressure. We are not. We have almost already achieved our target, and now we only want to better it”, Koeman added.
In the remaining seven matches of the season, Feyenoord will battle against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Heerenveen-c40463 on the road.
Koeman has admitted that his side’s remaining matches are not the toughest.
“I have seen our remaining season matches. We have not the easiest remaining games, but also they are not the hardest. We can certainly finish in the top three should we achieve good results until the end”, the former Barcelona player concluded.
