The 48-year-old tactician has urged Dutch Football Association to cancel this weekend’s Eredivisie fixtures in the wake of extreme weather conditions.

The Dutch trainer insisted that the weather will not only affect the performance of the players, but will also be harmful
for the spectators.
Owing to freezing cold conditions, the KNVB had to postpone all six Eerste Divisie matches that were scheduled to be played on Friday.
However, the Dutch Football Association is yet to take a decision on most scheduled Eredivisie matches. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede’s clash against De Graafschap, which was scheduled for February 5, is the only game to have been postponed.

Koeman has opined that the upcoming games need to be postponed in order to ensure safety of both the players and the fans.
“I think it is dangerous for spectators to sit in the stadiums in this weather. These conditions are extreme”, Koeman was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The Rotterdammers boss went on assert that he does not know whether the current scenario permits a postponement, but admitted that it would be nice to enjoy a weekend off the pitch.
“I do not know if the calendar permits, but it would be nice to give everyone a weekend off at this point of the season”, Koeman concluded.
