Fiancee' Visa for Italy?

I'm wondering if Italy has some sort of fiancee' visa (like we do in the states)...I'm American and my boyfriend is Italian, and we're trying to find information/requirements, etc. Can you help???

Let me tell you something if you are wanting to live or stay with your boyfriend you know that you can go with your passport and stay up to 3 months and if thats what you want then get married but work and living in Italy is very hard and now expensive I know I lived their for 13 years and moved back home 8 years ago.

  3. The Italian visa information is here: http://www.esteri.it/visti/home_eng.asp There's a visa for family members, but you would need to already be married for this. You can look at either an elective residence visa, a tourism visa, or a work visa of some type and convert if and when you get married.
