Fiancee Ex Husband Hacking Into P.C. ?

How do we find out if my partners ex husband is definitely hacking into our p.c. - things are grim with child care issues at the moment and he is an alcoholic with a track record of mental health issues. He has hacked into our p.c. previously through his own admission when trying to kick down our front door when drunk. He has since become more sneaky and I was wondering, is there anyway of finding out his i.p. address and relating it to his home address or area so that we can go to court with evidence?

If you have a good firewall and protection, he would have to be an extremely advanced programmer to get through to your computer.

It is unlikely he can do anything if you have good protection : )

This is a great free program that should keep you safeish if you don't have other protection

If you see any information about a hacker or tracker or key-logger, save the detials. You can file a complaint and it is possible to get his comoputer monitored but this may have to go through a tribunual.

Ensure that Remote Access is disabled.

Password your user sign-ons

Change all the passwords for all of your passworded accounts.

Ensure your firewall is on

Ensure your anti-virus software is up to date. If you haven't got one I'd recommend Avast Home Edition which is free. http://avast.com

To check for most keyloggersdo:-

Install, update and do a full scan with SUPERantispyware http://superantispyware.com

Install update, immunize and run Spybot Search and Destroy http://safer-networking.org

You won't be able to find his address from his ip address which won't be his if he knows what he's doing anyway.

Concentrate on securing your computer.
