Ok, this has been a huge aruement with my family....

When installing the pink fiber glass installation UNDER your house...

Do you put the paper side toward the wood or the pink stuff toward the wood....

So what's showing when you look under your house when your finished, the pink fiberglass or the paper????

  1. The plastic clear lining that you staple on after the fiberglass.  You see the paper.  Note that there is a clever way that the strips of the fiberglass paper fold into one another for a tight block from weather.  Play with it before you start putting it up so you understand how the folds go into one another.  Have fun.

  2. It wouldn't matter much for insulating purposes....but for installing it it matters a whole lot.  The paper side allows you to staple the sides to the wood studs so it doesn't fall out of place.  You should have the paper side exposed not the pink stuff.  If you have the pink stuff exposed it is more easily damaged and eroded way by animals, wind and contact.  Which means you will have less insulation over time.  Remember also that heat rises.
