Fiberglass bodykit?

Can i use a regular drill and bit to drill through fiberglass, and put a inside rubber washer so it dose not crack from vibration, or do i have to do something else.

Yes , you can use a regular drill bit to drill thru fibreglass im not sure what the rest of your question means tho if u use a center punch to mark the exact spot u wish to drill it will keep the bit from wandering . Ive used holesaws also to make large openings in fibreglass. If the glass cracks its way too thin or improperly made .


  2. Yes, you can use a regular drill and bit.  Would recommend using a piece of wood press tightly against the back of it, to prevent chipping when the bit punches through the fiberglass.  Also recommend doing this for drilling plywood.

    Do not have to use rubber washers on fiberglass.  Cracking comes from item moving(bolts not tight enough) severe impact, or from compression (overtightened the bolts).  Rubber washers can be a problem if they dry rot and crumble.
