Fiberglass cloth smoothness?

Hello, im building a foam core skimboard, but i have a question about the fiberglass cloth. Ive added my first layer, but the cloth i used was the long strands instead of the woven cloth, i have that for the final of the three layers. After adding the resin and letting it dry, i found places where the strands built up into a small ridge. how can i fix these without pulling up the entire layer?

Hi Tom.............It's been a while since I did my boat....but I believe if you just sand it flat for the next coat you are going to be all right............
