Fiberglass hull is brown with cement like substance?

Help!!! I am trying to clean the buttom of my boat (hull) and I can't seem to get the brown cement like substance off. What can I do

Was it dry?

It's can be very difficult to clean bottoms when the critters have dried up.

You may want to stick it in the water for a couple of days, and try cleaning it when it's wet.

I surmise that your boat was in the water for a long time, in muddy water, then you took it out, and did not wash off the brown immediately. Right?

Hose it down, and keep it wet for a few hours, then get a scrub brush with a soap like dish-washing detergent, and go to it, keeping the brown parts wet.

If that does not work, take it to a car wash and try using the high-pressure nossel.

Always remember to try and clean your boat at the place you take it out of the water.

Try Acetone. If that won't work it's gonna need to be sanded out then polished I think.
