Fiberglass is tricky stuff.  Some people watch professionals work with it especially in car audio and think it looks easy.  However, in reality it requires a lot of skill and experience.

Best thing to do if you would like to learn how to work with it is to do trial and error will teach you the way.  There are liquid fiberglass kits you can use at home, but the best fiberglass application method is through an air fed gun that is quite expensive.
