Question:

Fibrosarcoma of left thigh and fertility?

My husband had fibrosarcoma on his left thigh when he was 7 years old he's since been fine and I've been trying to talk to him about possibly starting a family in the next year or two and everytime he makes a comment about it maybe not being possible because of the radiation being so close to that area. I'm trying to find some statistics to show him or if any of you have had this or know someone and can maybe give some advice that would be great I can tell he's really worried and I want to show him there's nothing to worry about! Thanks!

  1. This question can be answered very simply by going to his  Physician and  having a sperm test.  You will not have to wonder.

Normally radiation therapy is guarded by shields  from the genital area for this very reason .
