Question:

Field Hockey Advice!?

I have never done a sport before. Well, a real sport, on a team. So, for about 6 months I have been planning on playing field hockey. It would be fun and my friend M was going to do it as well. Now M has decided she doesn't want to do it because this year's coach is supposedly mean. Now I don't know what to do. I am not thought of as an athletic person and I have absolutely no other friends on the team. So I'm afraid if I do it people are going to be asking "what is SHE doing here?" etc. Also, I don't want to be the worst person on the team leading everyone to secretly resent me. Anyone have any thoughts?

  1.   Take a shot at it. Challenge yourself...make new friends. Learn from them and become the best player you can. They'll respect you for your efforts and so will the coach.

  2. 1. Don't be so paranoid

    2. Have confidence. if you have confidence, nobody will question you. Confidence is like some kind of Aura, other people see it and feel it i guess. It's a positive thing.

be confident and you'll do fine.
