Question:

Field hockey tryouts?

I'm trying out for my high school field hockey team this year, and tryouts are in 11 days. I've already been running and conditioning for a while, so I'm okay with that. But I need help with my stick work and drills and stuff. Any drill or other suggestions that will help me?

  1. A good one would be simply working on being able to dribble while looking up and doing it as fast as you can. Start out as fast as you can and do it as much as you can. You may start  out slow but will get faster. A very good player can dribble at their sprinting speed, so work up to that.

Also do indian dribbling, pulls stationary/moving, hits standing and moving and also try to learn strokes and lifts. Good luck!
