Fierce competition expected in Gain Feeds Corn Cuchulainn - Semi-final
A tough battle amongst greyhounds is expected in the Gain Feeds Corn Cuchulainn - Semi-final at Harold’s Cross in Ireland on Friday, July 6, 2012. The winner of the 750 yard race will bag a cash prize of €75.
The Grade OR event is scheduled to start at 21:00 GMT and there will be some very good runners up against each other. This will make it a bit challenging for the bettors to select their favourite, but the bookies believe that Stallone Bart will finish on
top of the table, as he is in spectacular form right now.
The Moore’s trained hound does not have a lot of experience, but he has delivered excellent results at the highest level. He started off his career with a Grade OR appearance and caught the attention of everyone with a splendid show.
Although the young hound failed to win back then, he gave a tough time to his rivals. He showed great speed and stamina, but had to settle for the runner up position in the end.
It did not take long before the white and black dog brought up his maiden victory in this class, as he achieved glory in only his second outing. He had been priced 5 to 1 back then, but stormed to the top by four lengths. No one was able to match his speed,
as he absolutely dominated from the start until the end.
Stallone Bart’s first race at Harold’s Cross was in June and he was once again given a general starting price of 5 to 1 in it. However, he proved the bookies wrong and took a comfortable victory by a couple of lengths.
Despite this performance, the brisk dog was not rated as favourite in his next run at Harold’s Cross. However, he once again proved his worth and outperformed his rivals comfortably. He will be chasing a hat-trick of victories at this venue today and it
will be extremely difficult for his opponents to match him.
However, Dogwithacollar is also carrying the winning momentum and might spoil the part for his main rival. He was also victorious in his previous two races at this venue, thus his talent cannot be doubted.
