Fierce competition predicted in Dovecote Novices´ Hurdle at Kempton
Alongside many other exciting events, Kempton will host Grade 2 williamhill.com Dovecote Novices´ Hurdle on Saturday, February 25, 2012.
With 12 runners, the 2-mile event is due to commence at 15:40 (GMT). The going is good and thus, the spectators will have a lot of fun on the weekend.
The line-up has many talented contenders such as DOUBLE HANDFUL, GRUMETI, DILDAR and DODGING BULLETS.

Another contestant who has fair chances of winning is Grumeti. Alan King’s high status horse is also stepping into the clash after a classy victory. On January 28, the four-year-old performed wonderfully at Cheltenham to seal a close win
in the JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial.
The rampant gelding also holds entry for the William Hill From The App-Store Adonis Juvenile, taking place on the same day. Therefore, it will be interesting to see which competition his connections prefer on the day.
Paul Nicholls’ Dildar also has decent chances to thrive. His fresh success came at Taunton where Ruby Walsh ran him to victory in the Bravo Company 40 Commando Royal Marines Novices' Hurdle.
The name of the four-year-old’s jockey is yet to be confirmed for this race but if Walsh rides him, he will definitely be the one to look out for.
Dodging Bullets will be the centre of attention. The four-year-old is also in hunt of his hat-trick after clinching two consecutive wins last year. Despite the fact that he is making his first trip after a break of more than six months,
his chances cannot be overlooked.
Final Prediction
It will be a tug of war of between Dildar, Double Handful and
Dodging Bullets. The latter of the trio is coming back after a long break and that might be his only weak point. On the other hand,
Grumeti will also fancy his chances.
