Figguring out who's calling.. (Annoying Italian dude)?

There's been some random Italian dude that's been calling me lately, 11 times in a row while I was rafting the other day. I tried calling him back up, and when he finally did pick up, he just started to talk in italian. Anyone got an idea on how I could find out who this guy is? I've got no clue whatsoever, all I've got is a phonenumber, and I do not know any Italians. I've been to Italy twice, but that was ~10 years ago...

Try this site: http://www.paginebianche.it/execute.cgi?...

You have to type in the number (without the Italian dialing code, that is 0039) and then click "Cerca". It should find the name of the number owner.

It works for all the landline phone and for some mobiles.

At least you would know who is calling you.

next time it happens say:

ciao, senti - non parlo italian (Hey listen, I dont speak Italian)

and/or

Hai sbagliato (Eye spa lato)

Probably he is trying to reach somebody but he got the wrong number? If so, you might want to reply "Ha un numero sbagliato!".
