can someone please give me some tips on fight intervention.

Where I live there are verbal fights,(I am not involved), that sometimes lead to fist fights.

Can anyone help with some verbal intervention techniques, to avoid this?

Any help is much appreciated.

  1. The best is not to stand their looking like a moron trying to talk 2 people out of fighting. It makes you look like you are trying to hard. Be the guy who wins fights, not the guy who tries to stops them and fails. That guy ends up alone with a secret crush on the lady with all the cats.

  2. it seems that the people involved need to grow up and leave their ego's at home. there is nothing you will be able to do in situatoins like this expect leave it alone and not add to it by trying to stop it.

  3. join up with a martial art school.

  4. Set up a ring and a set of rules that have to be followed, they can fight in there and you can be the ref.

Sometimes people need to spend all their aggression before they stop being aggressive.

Make sure the rules prohibit groin strike, eye gouging and any other techniques that might lead to permanent injury.

  7. do not intervene, you will give yourself the needless opportunity of getting injured. notify the authorities.

  8. It's really not your problem if you're not involved. Getting in the middle of two guys arguing is almost a guaranteed way for them both to come to an agreement -- that is, an agreement to beat the snot out of you. Just walk away.
