Fighter Pilot in ANG OR AIR FORCE?

What would be the difference in becoming a fighter pilot in the Air National Gaurd or the US air force? And how their duties differ? Please help

  1. It'd be basically the same job since ANG is a reserve component to the Air Force. ANG is in charge of patrolling the nations borders but also deploy. Pilot slots in the ANG are harder to get, let alone a fighter slot. You'd probably be better off going active duty.


  2. AIR FORCE i think that's the coolest!

  3. No difference.. Same training -- same flight schools. The ANG pilot's may spend a little More time in the simulators because they may not fly as often as their Active Duty counterparts.

  4. If you want to fly the navy has more planes than the air force.
