I may be mistaken but I believe this happened to Marty Servo when he fought Rocky Graziano.  Not sure just how common it is but probably not all that common even though broken noses most certainly are.

Could happen ... but you will surely get your nose broken a lot ... Sometimes it only takes a tap to break someones nose .

I don't know what you mean by that but getting a broken nose is pretty common and is the least worrysome injury a boxer faces (not pun intended)
