  1. its because theres no big hits or fights on the feild so fans get frastrated and start hitting each other with there hand bags

  2. its coz of them being drunk 4 sure!

seen plenty of fights at the footy... at least one at evry game i go 2!

but i love paying out the drunk guys from the opposition (that arent TOTALLY off their face) coz they know they cant hit me coz im a girl and im only 16! haha

    suckers

im pretty sure there have been plenty of times they have wanted though!!!

  3. I think it's alcohol

Bloody Aussie men and there beer!

  4. Haven't seen any at AFL matches.

Have seen them at other football

venues though. And it's not always

    just the men involved either.

  5. It was hilarious west coast vs carlton at subi last year, i carlton supporter was going insane not at any one in particular, he had a beer in one hand and in the other was pointing, yelling and swearing at players, the crowd were chanting "Go Home" (meaning back to victoria) the police eventually come in to handle it and he was dragged off by police, just before half time. The cops were clapped off by eagles fans. At half time every one went to get food, drinks etc. and he was there with hand cuffs on with police gathered around. It was the funniest thing i have ever seen.

It was because of beer. or may have been a typical blues fan, not too sure!.

  6. I really think that Beer should be banned at the football. All of the drunken behaviour is a discrase. Why do you want to go get pissed while watching football.

People just don't get it. Their is childern that watch you and your mates, and they think that that is cool and can't wait until their older to do the same thing.

Before you buy a drink..think about this, and buy a coke.

    Its not that hard.

    Your not good role models.

Really good question btw - noone has really touched on it.

    Thanks!

    Alex

  7. Coz passionate people can't handle their alcohol. And people who start fights coz they can't handle their alcohol should be heavily fined or banned from future games. A few d!ckheads shouldn't be allowed to stuff it up for the rest of us.

    By the way Alex C. You're a k**b.

  8. I have never actually encountered a fight at the footy, but I have heard of them occuring. Alcohol is a huge part of this problem, but sometimes troublemakers just want to cause fights.

  9. Not at an AFL match but boy I have seen some beauties at local matches especially when played at a certain country town and it usually involves the mums and the wifes.

  10. I think for all the reasons you have listed in your question..LOL

Generally alcohol and your team losing sparks fights - AFL supporters are such passionate people - its bound to happen!

  11. The grog!!!

  12. I have never seen a fight at  an AFL match - off the playing field, that is.

I know there has been many fights at the old Collingwood ground, due to the type of supporters attending the match but I don't know if it happens at the better controlled bigger arena nowadays.

  13. I have seen plenty of fights, supporters are so proud ythey usually get into fights over teams and other stupid things!

  14. What Rogue said, alcohol and very passionate supporters are not a very good mix at times. Normally it only takes one drunk person to bag the other drunk persons team.

The only real big fight I've seen was at the HOF Tribute Match this year (Vics vs DreamTeam) I was sitting below it to the right. It was on the bottom row, 2nd level. Everyone at the ground was looking at it, yet it took the Cops about 5 minutes to arrive (I assume they were waiting for numbers, as quite a few arrived when they finally got there). Got scary at times, being on the bottom row that someone was going to throw the bloke over the rail.
