The retired football legend has taken out time to voice his appreciation for his compatriot, backing the former Red Devil to walk home with the Golden Ball this year.

He added that the attacker’s efforts in the past year should be reward, while maintaining that it is immensely hard to say who will win
the coveted prize.
According to the veteran, there is no reason for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 to not win the award this year. He was confident that the former Manchester United players has done everything to deserve the prestigious accolade.

As always nothing can be said regarding who will win the award. However, Ronaldo and Messi are considered the more likely winners. The two players have been performing remarkably over the course of an year.
While talking to reporters, Figo was quoted as saying:
"There's nothing to stop him [Ronaldo] from winning it. He is one of the favorites to win all the individual trophies there are, even more so this year, because I think he had a good season in the league and did well at the Euros. There are a lot of people
involved in the choice, so it is always difficult to know who will win."
Continuing the discussion, the player who represented Madrid and Barca during his career revealed his own feelings when he was named the winner of the Golden Ball. He expressed that it is a special moment when a footballer is able to win the most coveted
individual award in football.
"It was one of the most special moments in my career on the individual side of things, because there are few players who have the opportunity to win this trophy. At the time, there were lots of players who were in with a shout, whilst now there are four
or five big candidates. It was a privilege and a proud moment for me."
