  1. since figure skating is ure biggest dream then i suggest tht u quit one of the clubs tht u think its ok (but u dont like it as much as skating and all the other clubs) and u get a job

  2. $40 isnt even enough to buy a DRESS or even cheap skates like mine(they are $50!!)! I would love to help you and teach you how to skate, since I can do jumps and spins, but I have NO IDEA who you are.

  3. I think everyone is gonna suggest that you get a job.

I took a job at the rink when I was in grade 4. They didn't pay me cash, but put my earned money towards my lessons and ice time. I helped the little ones get up when they fell down. Ask your rink if they might have something like that.

Also, if you want to be serious about skating, and you have a lot of other commitments, you probably won't go very far.

  4. Look into taking a short (15 min) private lesson each week with a junior coach.  This is usually a higher-level skater who is still in high school.  They're qualified to teach beginners but don't charge nearly as much as a regular coach & can be cheaper than group lessons.  At my rink, the junior coaches charge something like $15 for a half-hour lesson.  So 15 minutes would be really cheap.  It's not very long, but it's better than nothing!  And you could schedule the lesson for any day there is ice available - you wouldn't be limited to whenver the beginner's group lessons are offered.  Ask the figure skating director at your rink about it.

You would still have to pay for the ice time in addition to the lesson, but you could ask if the coach gives lessons on public sessions (which are cheaper than freestyle or club sessions).  Not all rinks allow this, but it's worth asking about if you're trying to save money.

As for skates, it's perfectly fine to start out in rentals.  Maybe your parents would get you your own skates for your birthday, or you could save up for them.

To get more money, see if your parents will pay you for doing stuff around the house.  You're old enough to baby-sit.  Actually, 14 is when I started working at my rink (on Friday and Saturday nights).

If you really want to skate, you can find a way to make it work:)  Good luck!!

  5. Okay, 1st thing, it takes a long time to get to a good level of comepteting on a high level, it deosnt happen over night. Its worth it if you are deticated, but if you have other commitments would you really streach every day and put in 110% You cant pay with $40.00 dollers, it may get you 1 lesson in rental skates. Ever thought about babysitting or dog walking? Dont use the money you have and till you have more, you will find a way papper round also?

Good lessons wothout cancelling you other clubs....well its not the day or time the lessons are its the coach, the higher coach the mroe expensive, the lower coach the less expensive. if your only lessons for begginers are at those days you cant do, give one up or you will not get any where humming about it. You have to gert in thier fast befroe the spaces go on the next enorllment.

Tips: well guessing your young, as parents for choirs, see your iunwatned clutter, baby sit, dog walk, wash cars, apper round. If you are willing to skate but not willing to do theese kind of jobs then what will you do?

Good luck! you will sortit out some way! have a good lesson when you start and never give up!

  6. Get a job like everyone else

  7. I can 100% promise you that no club will take you if you only have $40.

The cost of ice time alone is probably $300 and then lessons and all the equipment on top of that.

Get a  job and earn it??

And if other activities are interfereing you really need to think about which is more important
