  1. i was the same as you when i started college

don't worry you won't be the only beginner there.

and it's amazing how fast you pick it up once you get the hang of it

it's a great opportunity so just go for it =]

  2. What a great opportunity for you!

You are wasting your energy worrying.  Remember above all else, you are there to learn.  Others may start out with more skills, experience or talent than you, but you will not be the only one who is starting from near zero.  Do not try to keep up with anyone in your section. . . but rather learn all you can by watching any demonstrations done by your instructor and doing the homework.  And ask for help if you get stuck.

Age really has little to do with it . . . attitude, desire and willingness to work and grow are FAR more important for the artist than how many candles were on her last birthday cake!!!!

  3. Don't worry about it too much, a lot of people there are probably novices too. We aren't all born artists, if your that nervous about it y don't you do a few practise drawings at home to prepare for the class

  4. All new students hide behind their drawing boards and easels at the first figure class. They tend to be scared of the model, whether clothed, or nude. It's just the natural response to a new situation.Even old experts tend to get the scale of things wrong at the start,so work quickly and lightly for a start,so you can keep the image fluid and changeable.
