Figure skate heel?

Does the colour of the heel make any diffrence?

It doesn't at all some brands just make the heel black this has nothing to do with the quality. Most european skates have black heels.

most of the time people with wood heels have better skates and people with black are not as good.

None whatsoever. But I have to admit I like the wood-colored ones.  It's not actually wood, it's layered leather, but I like the look better than the black heels.
