ok here is the deal, I have been figure skating for about five months and i am very good. I can do waltz jump salchow toe loop lopp flip lutz ect. Various spins including sit scratch camel, layback and so on. Because of my fast progression my skates came apart. well, not completely but almost. the wooden thing in the back is detaching so everything else is coming off I need to use these skates 2 more times before my new ones come in. My new ones go lost in shipping and they do not get in for a week. I need to know what a temperary solution would be soon. Thank you!!!!!!!

  1. alot of my friends stop skating for weeks at a time while waiting for new skates. it can be very dangerous to skate in skates that are falling apart, i recommend u stop and w8 for ur new skates, while waiting, u can practice of ice jumps n stuff, ballet, yoga, pilates etc.

P.S it doesn't matter if u can do all those things in a short time, its if u can do them WELL.

  2. well if you just want to keep just skating I would recomend getting quad skates. Dont practice jumps on them just for skating. Be aware they are a bit different but it keeps you skating. So good luck and Continue Skating!

  3. skate tape.... if you have a coach ask them to maybe use a relative's pair or they're own! haha that's what i did

  4. wow you are a fast learner! and like the others said, maybe skate tape will be good

  5. just rest for a week.... but you are a FAST learner. i mean, i've been skating for like 3 yrs and i haven't gontten my lutz and loop and cammel and layback. woah, your really good! but ya just rest for a week. cause using worn skates can be dangerous not knowing what's gona happen you might get injured.

  6. If you have a pro shop or a figure skating store, look for "sk8 tape".  It is a tan colored tape that you can cover your skates with, which is mainly used for synchronized skating to have the skate blend in with the leg, but this tape will really help to hold together your skates because it adds resistance to your boot.  Helping old t together.

    Good luck!

  7. Try skate tape. It helped me.

  8. Well you can try skate tape but im not shure if it will hold long enough.
