Figure skating make-up?

do male figure skaters wear make-up for daily practice and competitions?

Male figure skaters usually don't wear make-up for daily practice, but may if he wants. Usually they do for competitions, but nothing over the top. Maybe a little foundation, and just a LITTLE lipstick, so that the audience may see him better and he would stand out more. However, ANYONE can wear whatever make-up on them whenever, if they want to. There's nothing wrong with a male wearing a little make-up. =)

I'd go with no for practice and maybe for competition.  During high-level competition, they're on camera and just like with the ladies, the camera isn't always nice about your complexion.  I'd think it'd be along the same lines as a newscaster or anyone else who appears on TV.  Skating is a unique sport where appearance does count.  I wouldn't say all of them do, but I bet some do.  :)

For competitions, yes. Those bright lights will wash you out!
