  1. You should figure one half a liter of soda per person, per hour.  So if the reception is four hours a 2 liter of Coke for each person.  More if people are bringing their own alcohol to mix into the drinks.  Usually figure on more diet soda than regular and make sure to include decaffeinated soda like Sprite or 7-Up in both regular and diet.  If you purchase the soda in cans, you can donate the left overs to a food pantry if you don't want to take it home with you.

Another option would be to call a catering or rental place and see if they have a beverage cart you can use.  This would have ice and a soda fountain that mixes the syrup with water and is MUCH cheaper than cans of soda.

Don't forget the cups.  If you use cups count on people throwing out their cup each time they are done and get a new one each time they want a new drink.

  2. You need to know the number of guests.  Depending on how long your wedding is going to last, you should estimate about 1 soda per guest per hour.

You may also need to provide water, for those who don't enjoy soda.

    I hope this helps!
