I am 22, I am no where. I am in debt and I have nothing to show for myself.

I have no idea who I am or what I want. No idea where my life is going. I have spent so much time on relationships and not on my self this is where I'm at..

I try to focus on something but I quickly loose interest. I need serious advice only please. Thank you.

  1. leave all troubles behind...worry no more. life is life - sometimes good, often bad. Life is interesting with flavors - worries, happiness, sadness, peace, love etc. You'll become a famous person...seriously.

  2. Well, I'm 39 and in debt... Thousands and thousands of it. But that doesn't mean I'm drowning.

That "Sunscreen" song had it down to a T... "The most interesting people in life have no idea where they're going"... or something to that effect.

I've never had a plan. I've never achieved a whole lot. I earn just enough to keep my head above water. I spent 14 years in a destructive relationship. I threw my life in the air a dozen times. I'm way behind my friends financially.....

But I'm also bloody happy. I have finally found the one person in the world who presses my buttons. I do a job (these days) that doesn't stress me. I earn just enough to keep my head above the water. I live in a nice part of Brighton, just yards from the sea. I have some hope for the future, but still no big ideas. And all this without a plan.

My point? There's more to life than the "haves" and "have nots". You can be a person who is focussed and aims for finishing the game with the most toys, or you can take your time to enjoy the view. The driven people don't get half as much enjoyment out of the world, or half as much spiritual fulfillment as they're always too busy to stop and notice the detail.

Also, you sound like a person who works hard for their relationships... Well once you find that one "right" person, they'll reward your love and effort a hundred times over.

But, in essence, I say let the sprinters do the running and don't worry about being a wanderer. The world needs both types of people. Realise that your reward is already all around you - as opposed to the carrot that the driven ones spend their liftimes chasing after.

  3. The best option for debt trouble is negotiating your debts with your credit companies to keep the payments from swallowing all of your income. Typically, you have to get a counseling agency to call on your behalf. If you try to work with them yourself, many of them will not cooperate with you because you are not enrolled in credit counseling. Try http://www.womenindebt.info. Good luck!
