  1. I have been to New Zealand and Australia this past July.

New Zealand is so beautiful and there is a lot of stuff to do there, I went on a luge, visited a geothermic park, stayed at a Maori village, went on jet boats (so fun), went to some amazing shops, and they have a gorgeous museum in Wellington. I also went repelling off a mountain, and you can go snowboarding.

Australia was really fun too. We climbed the harbor bridge, went in the opera house, learned how to throw boomerangs, went on a dinner cruise in the Sydney harbour, i went snorkeling at the great barrier reef, and i learned how to surf at Surfers Paradise.

Really if you have to choose between the two you have a hard decision. If you want a more relaxed but still adventurous trip go to NZ.

Australia is more for people who like to be in on the events and people who like being busy with lots of places to go.

  2. I have actually been to all of these places - I love to travel.  Fiji would be my first choice as I love their culture and the fijian people.  Then I would choose Australia, which has some amazing sights, but is very large and getting around is quite time consuming.  Then I think I would pick New Zealand for its natural beauty and outdoor adventures.  Hawaii and Cayman would be my last choices.  Both are very touristy and the locals can be rude.  If you pick either of thoes, find a nice resort away from the main tourist areas.

  3. I have been to Fiji, NZ, and Hawaii, and I live in Oz. Of those I would definately recommend Australia or NZ over Hawaii or Fiji. If you want a natural/wilderness or outdoor adventure holiday I would recommend NZ, if you prefer a beach and/or city holiday I would suggest Australia. I haven't been to the Cayman Islands so I can't make any comment about them.

It sounds from the choices like you would prefer a beach holiday. Australia has amazing beaches around most of its coastline. Some of the more popular areas include:

Gold Coast - Tourism focused area with theme parks and many tourist activities.

Byron Bay - alternative, 'hippie' area

Port Douglas - beach area in Australia's tropical north, near Cairns. Can visit the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest.

Broome - I haven't been there but it is supposed to be really beautiful.

The Whitsundays - variety of Islands, each with it's own different feel - some are family oriented, some nature, some very exclusive private islands.

For a less touristy experience the entire coast of NSW has incredible beaches with small slightly sleepy beachside towns.

Hope this is what you wanted to know.

  4. Depending where your from ?

If you live near hawaii its probably better to go somewhere completely different

I live in Australia and i reccommend visiting everywhere here its so unique, plus New Zealand is amazingly beautiful (ever seen Lord of the Rings) but not actually a part of Australia so they have a different currency :)
