  1. Might try Extra Video Converter 4. I found this program really nice and simple. And if i recall you can get it free from http://www.giveawayoftheday.com which is a site that gives away a listened product for 24 hours to help the programmer get feedback

  2. Use TuneCab Ultra and convert to DivX  http://www.tunecab.com/product.php

  3. I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, on windows, never had a problem!

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!

it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it

    1. Download ConvertXtoDVD from vso official site here:

    http://www.vso-software.fr/products/conv...

It can convert any video file.. like

avi, divx, xvid, mov, mkv, flv ,youtube,  mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg-, nsv, dvr-ms, tivo, ts, ifo, vob, asf, wmv, realmedia, rm, rmvb, ogm,

    2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

    3. Insert blank DVD

    4. Click "Convert"

    5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)

ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,

for example you can make your own DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.

  4. Go to http://www.koyotesoft.com

On this website is a bunch of different converters, also DVD converters and they are all free. Work really well too.

  5. You might want to try Windows Media Encoder 9...

Be warned though, converting videos take a long time... especially to DVD format.

  6. I always use Aimersoft DVD Creator, it can easily convert all popular video formats (AVI, MP4, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, WMV, ASF, RM, RMVB, DAT, MOV, FLV, etc) to DVD and burn DVD movie played on portable and home DVD players, that's very good, you can check it out here for free:

    http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-creator.htm...

Of course, http://answers.yahoo.com can give you more options

  7. "Nero wont let me burn it" could mean one of two things :-

    A) Nero doesn't recognise the file type and can't transcode it....

Had this a few times with (if I remember correctly) mpeg files - never found an answer so I converted to a different format before getting Nero to do its thing.

    B) after Nero has transcoded it it won't burn the files to a disk...

Try burning to file, create a folder on your desktop and 'burning' the DVD files to there and then, when done, burn the files within the folder to DVD using Nero's 'burn DVD video files' option.

If it is that the disk keeps failing to burn then you may find that the speed that Nero is trying to burn is too fast (had this before with some dodgy disks...) so burning to hard drive & then putting them on to a disk lets you control the drive speed

    HTH
