What file format do movies need to be in order to watch them on my iPod Classic?

iPod Nano, Touch, Classic and iPhone only accept MP4 video format, and if you want put the videos and DVD onto iPod, you need a DVD/Video to iPod Converter software.

mp4 is the most common. If you are trying to get youtube videos on to your ipod there are a ton of free software sites that will let you convert it. Just type youtube to ipod and they will all come up.
