File missing in AVG?

Question

I've run my AVG scanning my PC and came up with warning saying;

A .bin file is missing, what does this mean and how do I correct this. Thank for genuine responses.

AVG Update server is having a bad day.

The problem is NOT on your PC.

There are hundreds of people having the same problem.

It will be fixed withing 24 hrs.

yeah i got that too. and i keep on trying and it says it failed. i tried restarting it and tried again and it did work. try it.

or else go to overview and click the one that isn't active and click update now, it should work.

You need to go to AVG website and reinstall a setup file with latest updates. Because the servers was down and your files got corrupted like mine.

There is a known problem in AVG in last 24-36 hours. AVG is aware of the problem and do not worry it is NOT your pc.  Don't do anything drastic such as a system restore or uninstall/reinstall of AVG.

You can read of AVG's suggestion in their free forum at the link below. Please be a little patient and AVG will fix the problem (as promised).
