  1. The local office can't help you because the case is out of its jurisdiction.

  2. Injured spouse forms take up to 12 weeks, and sometimes more, to process, so it probably just isn't done yet.

  3. An injured spouse form takes 12 weeks to be processed.  You can go to the Local IRS office they will be able to tell you if the form was received and being processed.  Your SSN card and DL should be enough to proof your identity.

    Good Luck.

  4. It takes 8 - 11 weeks to process an injured spouse claim. If you haven't received a direct deposit by the 11th week or a check by the 14th week, call 1-800-829-0922 and inquire.

  5. I justed filed an Injured Spouse form also.

I did it at our local IRS office.

I was told by the IRS worker it will take MORE then 12 weeks to process the form.

They have many people ahead of you and must process it on a first come first serve basis.

I was also told if it takes longer then 12 weeks they will owe you interest on your refund.

If they took your refund you will NOT receive a rebate check either!

That is the reason I am claiming the injured spouse form.

If you get your half of the refund then you will receive half of the rebate check.
