Files burned onto DVD-R disappeared

Question

I burned about 2 GB on files (photos, videos, etc.) onto a DVD-R. I checked to make sure it worked by putting it into another PC and it worked fine. However, when I tried to copy the files to a completely different PC, I noticed those files were no longer there. Help?

Files do not just disappear of a disk. I have seen this with Vista. It will read some disks and not others. Vista uses a system called a live file system. Here is more info.
