I am trying to file a complaint against a company that I have been working with over a year now. It is for a small amount, I am just fed up with the owner not paying me what she owes me and getting away with it. Problem is I am an independent contractor and cannot find the appropriate forms to file or where to get them. Can anyone help me figure out how to stop this woman from cheating me and others?

  1. If you're an independent contractor, you may need to go to small claims court.

  2. Contact your local department of labor, they will collect it for you.

  3. File a lawsuit in small claims court. Contact your local court to find out how and get any necessary forms.

The Department of Labor will not and cannot help you, since you are not an employee, but a contractor.
