Filing for I-130?

i got married during the time my I-140 (petition for an alien worker) is ongoing, what do i have to do to update my application (regarding the change of name, marital status, etc.)? and is it possible for me to apply my husband for an I-130 (petition for alien relative) while my I-140 is still ongoing?

  1. You can't file an I-130 because you have no legal standing to do it.  You are not yet a green card holder and you are not a US citizen.

    You might be able to submit a new G-325A to USCIS that included your wife.  I'm not sure.  You need to check with your employer's Human Resources and Legal Department, or is this marriage a secret you're keeping from them?

    Barring that, you can file an I-130 when you get your green card.  However, it will be 5 and 1/2 years BEFORE a visa is available for your wife to come to the United States.
