Question:

Filing for a DBA in Georgia?

Where can I file for a DBA in the state of Georgia. I have researched, and noticed that companies charge like a hundred $ or something for a DBA, and I know I can get the paper work myself, fill it out, and just pay a small fee of like $10 or something.

I know it can be done because I can file for a trademark in Georgia for $15 instead of paying someone hundreds of $ to do it for me.

Can you guys please give me the link to the correct Georgia website where I can find the papers, download them, print them, fill them out, and send it to the state. Thanks!

  1. It was hard to find the site but here what I could find.  It isn't necessarily the DBA but it is the main site that will allow you to change the corporate name.

  2. If your business is sole proprietorship, you simply go to your county clerk's office and register your business.

If your business is a corporation, partnership or LLC, then do it through the Secretary of State. The SOS of Georgia also has an online business registration  https://services.georgia.gov/dor/olbr/Ta...
