Filipino accountant wants to work overseas..?

I'm just wondering. Is it true that Philippine GAAPs (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) are different from other countries GAAPs? If that's the case, even if you passed the CPA licensure examination in the Philippines but decided to go overseas, let's say, America, you'll only end up as a bookkeeper and cannot practice Accounting as CPA? just curious..

  1. Not that different. There are brush up courses in the USA for you to take. Plenty of work available.
