I did that till' I was about 10 years old.

I mean, come on, nobody says Pepsodent, Close-up, Hapee or Crest when they are talking about toothpaste.

It's the same thing with cola... how many people REALLY order Pepsi and not Coke? It's always like we only drink Pepsi when Coca-cola ain't available.

B1: Pabili nga ng colgate... yung close-up.

    B2: Baka close-gate!

  7. Can't recall exactly.   We did that while we were still growing up in the province.

Must have been when I came abroad.   And could finally afford toothpaste other than Colgate.

In Marikina, my folks always go for the family size green thing, Lem-O-Lime probably, or Mirinda.  Sometimes, Pepsi.

But here in Riyadh,  I always go for Coke.  In cans.

  8. I don't remember.  I don't think I ever referred to every toothpaste as Colgate, seriously.  Maybe i called them tup peyst when I was younger.  Yeah, really, beats me why we don't have a Pinoy term for toothpaste.

  9. I've never called it Colgate. I've always said toothpaste. my mom still says colgate though. lol
