Filipinos:what do you really want?

Question

i have watched presidents come and go in the country...all of them has got issues that made their reputation bad for the common people.why do we always try to find a "bad side" on our presidents?do you honestly expect a true and honest leader?

if you were the president and you have the power to control the country,wouldn't you also be like the presidents at some point?woulnd't you be corrupt like them too after some time?

what do we really want?what do you want to happen?when would you be at peace with a president?

People by nature doesn't really get satisfied.  People by nature is always curious. People most of the time wants for more even if they have a handful already.

young people should run the country.  no one over 30 should be allowed to join the government.  ugly people too should be banned.

If there is anything that I have noticed from the aspiring candidates, is that their main aim is to help their countrymen. Boring. Redundant.

I saw Ping Lacson's interview with this chinese lawyer dude of Umagang Kay Ganda (and I find him very tackless and impolite) about the 100% salary increase for the Philippine president. The chinese dude asked Ping if the increase was approved, would that help to cease corruption in the country. Ping said, that somehow made me think, officials may be true to their intentions before they are appointed. But once they are there, sometimes the wheels will turn after seeing most of the perks that could come along with it like absolute power with what they are handling. It made sense...you would know what you'll find unless you see it. If you find an easy way to get easy money...wont you snaffle?

Honestly, if I will be an official, I dont want to come clean but there sure is a possibility that I will be a corrupt one.

Someone I know said, we think that temptation is bad but it isnt. Its our urge to grab that temptation is bad. Now, are unhuman enough not to grab those temptations?

I'm only 15 and I don't know much about politics but all I want is for every, or at least a majority, Filipinos to have a good life or die happy.

One last thing I want to say is ABSOLUTELY NO to Bayani Fernando. I remember 6 months back he was asked an interview what is his first intention if he becomes president. He said(in english) "I will build a big statue of me." What the h**l!

I think Filipinos have this culture in which they don't want to own up to their mistakes or state of life. Thus, they always blame the government for the wrong things in their lives. It's actually sad because a lot of Filipinos are dependent and expect to be spoon-fed
