Filippino transit USA (w Canada VISA)?

Hi, I have some questions about "Transit thru USA":

-if I'm a Filipino citizen, with a Canadian *Multiple-Entry Visitor's VISA*, and I am flying from Vancouver to Lima (Peru) stopping off at a US airport for a connection (layover) - Do I need some kind of "transit VISA" ?

-What is the process of connecting thru that US airport (customs etc...), and If my layover is very short (under 1 hour) *would that realistically be enough time for me to catch my onward flight?

in regards to your travel question. Your destination is Lima Peru...  en-route you need  to stop in the USA to make a connecting flight. Approximately 1 hour lay over should be enough time to make your connection but its tight.  It is possible but do not delay to find the ticket counter of the connecting flight.  You will not need to collect baggage it will be forward to the next airline. Be smart because luggage can get lost or delayed by connecting flights so as a precaution, keep a change of cloths and any necessities in a carry on bag.

All your boarding passes will be issued in Vancouver for all flights going. No need for entry visa to the USA  cuz your not staying just making a connection. Without a US visa   you will not be allowed to leave the airport anyway.  With only 1 hour between flights you need to check with the second flight counter ASAP so they know your there.

Keep all your original ID with you in your carry on and keep photocopies in your baggage in the event your ID gets lost. I speak from experience having been out of the county once and lost everything. photo copies will be ok as a way to prove who you are in an emergency.

I suggest you confirm these details with a travel agent or who eve it is who has arranged your flight.

Yes you need a visa to pass through (transit) the US on the way to another country
