The former Piacenza striker parted ways with AC Milan, after 11 years, and he has conceded that it is weird for him not to be part of the Rossoneri squad anymore.
The Diavolo have been busy offloading many of their experienced players in a bid to decrease the average age of the players. One of the players to be asked to leave has been Pippo Inzaghi, who has given his best wishes to all the Milanello team as they started
off their pre-season training.
Inzaghi gave a statement to the club’s official website, in which he described his initial feelings he had upon setting foot in training for the very first time. He further went on to comment on the love he had received from all the fans, which gave him
great motivation. He went on to state:
“It was a special moment every time I returned to Milanello for the first day of training. Seeing all the fans outside the gates cheering us on always gave me such a boost.”
Pippo had an illustrious career with Milan and built on the reputation he had mustered from his endeavours at Juventus and Atalanta. He became one of the most feared strikers in Serie A history, with his knack of poaching goals always an asset for the side
he was playing for.
He also had a successful international career where he managed to score 25 times in 57 appearances. He had a ten-year career with La Nazionale. Super Pippo is one of the leading goal scorers in UEFA Champions League history.
However, for all of his endeavours, he has had a torrid time with injuries, which came in the way of finding consistency and match sharpness on a regular basis.
He further wrote that he wished everyone at the club the best of luck for the next season, and went on to state:
“I really just wanted to wish everybody at Milan http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Good-Luck-c39444 and especially to all my former teammates who are about to start a new season. Forza Milan!”
Inzaghi is currently considering whether or not to carry on his football career or take a coaching http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 in the Diavolo youth setup.
