Fill up my tackle box?

Question

i go fishing for trout (about 12-15 ")

i have a LOT of tackle, but i dont know what to put in the tackle box.

also, i am fishing in ponds and streams, so if you could help me out with that

Considering you are targeting trout mainly, I would suggest that you include in your arsenal some spinners (rooster-tails, vibrax,panther martins) some spoons (little cleo's, k/o wobblers) some float fishing set-ups like bobbers,  various sizes of small split-shot, small hooks,small jigs for fishing with maggots(like a mini-foo type jig), and to round it all out...maybe throw in some ultra-light crankbaits(rapala CD-1, heddon u-l types, just small crankbaits) that would be what I fill a vest with if I was targeting trout.  Hope this was what you were looking for.

I would put the following....

kastmasters  -   in 1/12 oz and 1/8 oz      gold, silver, blue & silver.

silver phoebe and  gold one

mepps black fury  2 each of the smallest and two of the orange spots and two with yellow

size 10, 12, 14, 16 hooks with turned down eye or Eagle claw #181 baitholder

split shot sizes  B, BB, 7, 5

egg sinkers 1/8 oz

barrel swivels size 14 or 16

gold treble hooks size 14 & 16 (for power bait if legal and if you plan on keepin the trout u catch)

small spoons  silver, copper (yes they make one) and gold

2lb leader - 2 25yd spools

4 lb leader   1 spool

small clear bobbers and maybe a few of the traiditonal orange/green

I always keep a small plastic box with a few bass lures like 2 bigger spoons, size 2 & 4 baitholder hooks, crayfish rubber lure and a crayfish crankbait  - never know when you might come across a few big bass.

you only need four things  size 8 hooks corn yellow power bait and split shots. i like to use an egg spreader with size 8 hooks then the secret ingredient TROUT MATE LIVE..

it is a spray attractant and trout cant resist it i pore it into a medicine bottle because it is thick and hard to spray and it really stinks this helps it from getting everywhere. dip the power bait into the spray and hold on...
