Filling Out Fasfa Form?

I'm filling out the fasfa form online. My question is which year do you select. Is the 2007-2008 renewel or is it 2008-2009- fasfa

it depends. if this is your VERY first time filling out your fafsa, and your very first classes start in 2008, then you want the 2008-2009 fafsa.

if you've already applied for fafsa last year and are reapplying for the upcoming year, then you can use the 2007-2008 renewal.  this form brings up your answers from the last time you filled it out, and you just have to update anything that may have changed for the new year.  i linked the instructions for the renewal below.

For this year, it should be 2008-2009.

It varies by school but normally if you are going to start now or in the summer semester, you will select the 07-08 and fill that one out... and then also do the 08-09 because you will still be going to school when the fall semester starts.  

If you are going to start school in the fall, then you do the 07-08 only.
