Pippo Inzaghi has refused to sign a renewal to his contract at AC Milan, and despite being offered a coaching role at the club, he is still mulling over his options.
The 38-year-old has made his name as one of the best poachers in the Serie A. And despite his age, there have not been any shortage of suitors for the former Azzurri star. Pippo stated that he believed that he would be able to
carry on a few more years and the desire to play and score goals was still fresh in him.
The Rossoneri have handed him the opportunity to coach in the Milanello’s youth sector. The striker still has a month left before his contract expires. The veteran poacher was giving an interview to Sky Sport Italia where he discussed
the possibility of hanging up his boots, and the difficulty in doing so.
Furthermore, the former Juventus forward was quoted to have said:
“It is a hard decision to make. On one side Milan have offered me the bench of the Allievi Nazionali side. I thank them and it would be great.”
Inzaghi moved to the Giuseppe Meazza outfit in the summer of 2011, and has made himself a household name all across the world through his positional sense and poacher’s instinct.
When inquired how he felt about moving on from being a player to start mentoring the youth and taking on coaching responsibilities, the striker said that he was grateful for the Rossoneri heads to have offered him the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 but he
still felt the urge to start on the field of play. He added:
“However, passion still gets the better of me, I’m in good shape and I would like to continue playing football. I’ve received a variety of offers from abroad, but especially from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. It is only right that I think about it. If
no offers had arrived then my decision would have been easy.”
It would be interesting to note which direction the veteran striker chooses to head to, and what would be more interesting to note which club goes for the aged forward.
