Film Noir help pwease :D?

Im creating a film Noir and for those of you who don't know film Noir is NOT a genre its a mood...

some primary moods of classic film noir are:

-melancholy, alienation, bleakness, disillusionment, disenchantment, pessimism, ambiguity, moral corruption, evil, guilt, desperation and paranoia.

so i just want some creative storylines you guys have if this task were presented to you, or even if you have myths that i could adapt into my film would be great, just to get me on a roll :)

you must include a femme fatale and some kind of double crossing, revenge or redemption arc

This ones more within you're budget I'd think. We start with a rich couple. One day, in vegas (holiday) he gambles. Due to his pride (impress others) and greed he bets everything in a 'double or nothing) and loses. He doesn't tell his wife, borrows a little money from a mysterious unknown source.

Back at their home, things start happening when the mysterious lender starts leaving notices all over the house for the man. He starts suffering from paranoia as he gets threatened by the lender (death). His wife ends up dead, he starts to go insane, sees things etc. He deteriorates more over timeand eventually loses all hope in life. Mystery lender makes appearance now. You decide what happens next and how it ends. I hope this helped you, well its much shorter than the other one and cheaper to produce.
