If i go into the film & TV production, what are the possible career paths?

(what type of job will i end of with?)

  1. You'd usually be doing some sort of "backstage" work, either on film or tv. Some graduates of such programs start off as production assistants or PA trainees. One example is here:

    Note that the initial pay for PAs is low, but as you increase in experience level, you'll do better.

    But there are all sorts of things you can do with that degree, depending on what sorts of classes you take and what internships you do. You could end up in sound, as props master, camera operator, crew, post-production... I've even had friends go on to produce tv shows. It's all in what you bring to it. Speak to the people at your school to learn more about job possibilities, but you can also have a look at sites like this, just to get an idea:

    But no matter what you chose to focus on, do an internship and do as much on-campus work in that field as you can. Build a resume *before* you leave school, so you can get a job once you're out.
